A Company with an Artistic Flair Founded in 1962 by Domenico Neri, renowned artist and interpreter of Urban Décor, Neri sets itself apart as a company that not only provides gazebos, streetlight fixtures, city and park furniture, pavilions and kiosks, but interprets and enhances the individual personalities of urban districts, businesses and estate owners worldwide. Neri markets not only fine cast-iron structures, but also strives to be a contributor to culture. Located in the hill-top town of Longiano, Italy, Neri founded and operates The Italian Museum of Cast Iron, for which they received Recognition for Merit in the Guggenheim Enterprise and Culture Award, the highest honor awarded to companies distinguishing themselves for their commitment, passion and coherence of communication on cultural projects of high ethical and social value.

The two sections of the museum include a small, but enchanting center for art and culture, one in the former 18th-century church of Santa Maria delle Lacrime, and the other in the valley, on the Via Emilia, which offers a large collection of intriguing artifacts in cast iron, often impressive for their monumental dimensions and always finely fashioned.

The museum's archives have many original catalogues, often used as a starting point for studies on the form, type, origin and diffusions of cast iron street furniture objects. Photographs taken over the last ten years complement the catalogues, offering an ample overview of surviving cast iron street furniture in Italy and the rest of Europe. The museum also has a collection of period photographs that constitute a particularly interesting source of information.
